 Project Introduction:

 The Port City of Colombo is Sri Lanka's largest foreign direct investment project. The first phase of the project cost about 1.4 billion US dollars and the sea reclamation work has been completed. In the second phase of the next 20 years, there will be another 13 billion US dollars of investment and more than 83,000 jobs will be created. The Port City project will become a new engine for Sri Lanka's economic recovery.
